The Israel Dog Unit Project of Magen Michlelet Eretz Yisrael
For the last 18 years, the Israel Dog Unit (IDU) has saved many lives by leading “search and rescue” missions as well as anti-terror patrols. AYC helps fund the purchase and training of the dogs, the highly technical equipment, volunteer housing, and of course, the monthly expenses of caring for these life-saving dogs.
The Children Development Center of Emanuel
The residents of Emanuel are Haredim, with many children, but they do not have a place to help children with special educational needs. AYC intervened to stop this injustice and help build a modern facility within the city to service these children.
Since its inception, AYC has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to poor families across Israel via two special projects: A Widow and Orphan Fund, which supports families who have experienced a tragic loss of a parent, and a Passover Fund which assists families before the beautiful, but costly holiday of Passover. Both funds help both religious and secular Israelis, not only with food, but with educational and utility expenses, as well as costs associated with making weddings.
The Israel Trees Project of Zo Artzeinu
AYC has facilitated the planting of 200,000 new fruit trees across Israel, providing livelihood for over 100 farmers and their families. It helps fund the astronomical costs associated with bulldozing the land, purchasing the saplings, installing the computer drip irrigation system, and building fences around the field. Additionally, AYC helps cover all maintenance costs.
The Build Up Israel Project
In 2015, AYC launched its own project to help build Israel. These projects generally do not receive money from any other source and include: a new mikveh in Aish Kodesh, a kindergarten in Otniel, a youth center for “at risk” teens in Revava and a job-training center for Haredi soldiers in Jerusalem.
AYC is heavily invested in the future of the Jewish people and continues to work tirelessly to make this a priority. Through various programs and educational projects, AYC is dedicated to teaching, supporting, and advocating for Jewish identity—both in Israel and around the world.
